Atlanta Hawks forward James Michael “Mike” Scott, 27, Smyrna, was arrested on drug charges Thursday after a car chase in Banks County. Acworth was a passenger in a car driven by his brother, Antonn Imhotep Scott, 20, Acworth, who was also arrested.
At approximately 9 a.m., Banks County sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe on I-85 North near mile marker 154 after noticing the driver following too close to other vehicles. As deputies attempted to make the traffic stop, the driver sped up to 98 mph and failed to stop for deputies. The driver continued for two miles and finally stopped near mile marker 156.
Deputies made contact with the Scott brothers who reportedly advised that they did have marijuana in the vehicle. Deputies located over an ounce of marijuana in the vehicle along with approximately 10.9 grams of MDMA (“Molly”).
Both suspects were arrested and transported to Banks County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center. Antonn Imhotep Scott was charged with fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement officers, following too close, felony possession of marijuana, and possession of schedule I. James Michael Scott was charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession of schedule I.
James Michael Scott had a bond set at $8,100 and Antonn Scott had a bond set at $9,300. Both bonded out Thursday evening.

What has happened to sports? They are not longer sports. Instead sports have become a haven and breeding ground for thugs. I remember when athletes were role models. Not any more!! Sad and pitiful.
