HOMER - Jeff Boisclair, 42, died Sunday, October 31, 2010, following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Jackson County on September 5, 1968, he was the son of Peggy Jo Ward Boisclair of Homer and the late Richard Boisclair, Jr. Jeff was employed in the maintenance department at Alzheimer’s Care of Commerce. He was of the Baptist denomination and a 1996 graduate of World Vision Bible College. Jeff served his country proudly in the United States Army and enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, scuba diving and most of all riding his Harley Davidson. Jeff’s wishes were to be an organ donor and his decision will greatly affect the lives of those in need. He was also preceded in death by grandparents, L.B. & Mae Bell Ward and Richard Boisclair Sr. and Guynelle Boisclair.

Survivors in addition to his mother include a son, Michael Boisclair, Gainesville; brother, Terry Parson, Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law, D.J. & Amy Boisclair, Alto; nephews, Taylor and Jackson Boisclair; former wife, Dora Jarrett, Gainesville; special aunts, Shirley James, Homer and Judy Baird, Commerce.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with the Revs. Keith Franks and Darrell Lovell officiating. Full military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #84, Rabun County DAV Chapter #15 and Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2. The family is at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Care of Commerce, 200 Bolton Dr., Commerce, GA 30529.

McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home of Cornelia is in charge of arrangements.
