Banks County Leopards accomplished a big task tonight and it wasn't just the first region win.
The Leopards gained a lot of confidence tonight with a 27-0 win over Union County and coach Blair Armstrong said that is what the team has been lacking.
"We had a great week of practice and we wanted them to learn to compete, and they did that tonight," Armstrong said. "We came out of the gate, heads held high and fighting. We played hard. This is what we needed to gain confidence and when we play like this we can play against anyone in this region."
Banks County is now 4-1; 1-0 this season and will head to Dawson County next week.
