Senior moments….at Forrest Hills Resort
BY WARREN RESEN
Ads for romantic getaways usually show perfect-looking tennis-clad people on location. Are they the only ones entitled to this life style? Do any of the people in the illustrations look like you? Do they even resemble anyone you know, especially if you are “older?” Well, romance is not only for young people.
Getting away should mean doing something that takes you away from your everyday environment. For a couple, it can be something as simple as walking hand-in-hand on the beach or in the woods while taking the time to reconnect. A getaway should not have to mean seeing how many foreign ports or shops you can fit into a trip. And a getaway, romantic or otherwise, does not have to involve traveling to distant places. Georgians have many nearby places from which to choose, but there is one that I found to be very special.
