JEFFERSON – Claudine Hood Brewer, 87, died Sunday, September 26, 2010.

She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lydia Murrell Hood. She was a retired textile worker at Barrow Manufacturing with 35 years of service and was a member of Whisteville Christian Church. Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Brewer in 1985; four brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria Ann and Ronald Hunt, Winder, and Linda Gail and Ricky Martin, Jefferson; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 28, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Ministers Ray F. Fumea, Linwood Smith and Ray K. Fumea officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, September 27, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
