Joy H. Wood, 67, died Sunday, July 6, 2008, at her residence, following an extended illness.

She was the daughter of the late James Edward and Nora Trent Lemaster.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Jarrell; sons, Danny Butts and Gary Williams, both of Spartanburg, S.C., James Wood, Pensacola, Fla.; daughters, Laura Scogin and Babbie Shuler, both of Homer; step-daughter, Crystal Smith, Helen, Ala.; sister, Betty Wood, Cumming; sister-in-law, Betty Lemaster, Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 9, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. David Sharpton officiating. Burial was in the Banks County Memorial Gardens.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
