GAINESVILLE – Sandra Lee (Brookshire) Maddox, 69, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late Herman Oliver and Catherine Elizabeth (Brand) Brookshire. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, loved ones stated. She was a devout Christian and was a member of First Baptist Church of Oakwood, where she taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her loving husband, John H. Maddox Sr., Gainesville; daughter, Catherine E. (Lisa) Wallace, Oakwood; sons, John H. Maddox Jr. and wife, Tabitha, Gillsville, James H. Maddox and wife, Sheaven, Gainesville; grandchildren, Timothy Wallace, Devin Maddox, Jordan Maddox and Ryder Maddox; sisters, Dianne Monroe, Snellville, and Vicky Smith, Marietta.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 23, from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Fenlon officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
