ROYSTON – Dorothy Elizabeth Sewell Hilley, 76, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010.
Born in Hart County on November 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Alice Carroll Sewell. She was a homemaker and member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Mrs. Hilley was preceded in death by a son, David Jackson Roberts.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Hilley, Royston; sons, Emory Gene Roberts, Gainesville, Thomas Ray Roberts, Canon, Terry Paul Roberts, Cleveland, Steve Leonard Roberts, Homer, and Douglas Edward Roberts Sr., Royston; daughters, Judy Charlene Smith, Royston, and Lisa Renea Looney, Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.; stepson, Carl Melvin Hilley, Canon; stepdaughter, Peggy Sue Evans, Royston; sister, Gladys Ruth Grinnen, Canon; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 13, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Dan Bailey and Clint Harper officiating. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Friday, June 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. and again from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 12. The family is at the home of Thomas Roberts.
