Gowder places third at state

After being postponed due to weather, the state golf tournament managed to hold a full round on Monday.

Banks County’s freshman Lady Leopard, Cara Gowder, brought home a third place victory after shooting an 85 during the competition. The state golf tournament was held at the Alpharetta Athletic Club.

Coach Len Dalton said that Gowder “played great,” and that she is an excellent golfer for Banks County.
