JEFFERSON – Homer C. “Jack” Strickland, 86, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
He was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II in the 32nd Infantry and was retired from Fulton Cotton Mill as supervisor of the winding department. Mr. Strickland was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Gary Strickland.
Survivors include his wife, Chris Strickland, Jefferson; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael V. and Lorraine Strickland, Marietta, and Joel D. Strickland, Maysville; a brother, Billy Strickland, Gainesville; and one grandson, William K. Strickland.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, at 2 p.m., from Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Home in Norcross. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
