MAYSVILLE – Christopher “Chris” Lee Hulett, 29, lost a hard fought battle to melanoma. Cancer took his life, but it never waivered his determination to LIVE. The intense pain ceased when his merciful Lord took Chris home. Chris was the son of John Arthur Hulett of Nicholson and Denise Elaine (Marty) Gowder Parson of Maysville. He was married to Keni Carter Hulett of Maysville. Other survivors include grandparents, Harold and Grace Gowder and Dairl and Bonnie Parson, all of Maysville, Sara Hulett, Commerce; in-laws, Ken and Abby Carter, Lavonia, Keith and Kandi Chavis, Toccoa; half brothers, Charles Cavadel Hulett and Noah Jordan Hulett, both of Nicholson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe and Hollie West, Lavonia, Joe and Deanne Holbrooks, Walhalla, S.C.; aunts, Kathy Casper, Jackie Epps, Sue Ellen Hulett, Joann Brown, Tammy Fields, Connie Gowder; uncle, Audry Gowder; nieces and nephews, Noah Gowder, Cheyenne Holbrooks, Johnathan West and Chloie Cartee.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, at 2 p.m., from the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Maysville with the Revs. Swayne Carlan and Gene Carlan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, March 23, and Wednesday, March 24, from 6 to 9 p.m., and at other times at the home of Harold and Grace Gowder, 472 Gowder Rd., Maysville.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Foundation of NE GA, POB 49309, Athens, GA 30604, or the Loren Smith Cancer Support Center at Athens Regional Hospital.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
