JEFFERSON – Donald Beck, 58, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010.

Born on March 31, 1951, in Commerce, he was the son of the late Harold and Ruby Evans Beck. He was employed by Jackson EMC for 33 years and was a member of the Brockton Road Baptist Church. Mr. Beck was preceded in death by a sister, Syble Hill; and brothers, Paul and Randall Beck.

Donald was a loving husband, father and papa, and will be missed dearly by all, loved ones stated.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Beck, Jefferson; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Sandee Beck, Hull, Tony and Crystal Beck, Social Circle; grandchildren, Chris Beck, Statesboro (Georgia Southern University); Austin and Logan Beck, Social Circle; two step-granddaughters; and one step-great-grandson; brothers and sisters, Ronald Beck, Lexington, Clifford Beck, Commerce, Linda Ward, Maysville, Brenda Crane and Gladys Thomas, both of Jefferson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, at 4 p.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Gene Carlin and Tim Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Evans Memory Gardens in Jefferson. Employees of Jackson EMC will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, March 4, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
