LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – Dwight Franklin Lord, 53, formerly of Jefferson, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009.

Born in Winder, he was the son of Harold Lord of Maysville and the late Doris Lemley Lord. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. Mr. Lord was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Lord.

Survivors in addition to his father include a daughter, Janis Rae Lord, Athens; and sisters, Regina Love, Pendergrass, and Laurie Bond, Maysville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Dry Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, December 12, from 9 to 11 a.m.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
