HOSCHTON – Jack Clark, 72, died Monday, October 12, 2009.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late J.B. and Rosa Maxwell Clark. He worked as a textile weaver with the Jefferson Mills, retiring after 27 years of service. He was of the Baptist denomination. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Rosyln Spain Clark, Hoschton; a daughter, Janna Sue Clark Palmer, Lula; grandchildren, Jackie Gail Palmer, Hoschton, and James Freeman Palmer, Lula; and a great-grandchild, Faith Palmer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 15, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Greg Worley, Alan Stephens, and Donald Clark officiating. Burial will be in Evans Memory Gardens in Jefferson. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Clark, Anthony Whelchel, Scott Davis, Jimmy Stowe, Justin Ballew, and Jimmy Chang. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Terry Escoe, Dave Hill, Bruce Cronic, and James Evans. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, October 14, from 2 until 8 p.m.
