Banks County Sheriff Charles Chapman reported two drug arrests were made on Thursday, Sept. 10, after a search warrant was executed in Baldwin.

Jeffrey Whitlock, 43, 475 Stonepile Street, Baldwin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine; and Christopher Clayton Sisk, 30, 401 Stonepile Street, Baldwin, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.

The arrests came after a search warrant was executed at residences located at 401 and 475 Stonepile Street in the city limits of Baldwin. The search warrant came after a knock and talk, Chapman reported.

Law enforcement personnel had received information that methamphetamine was being made at this location.

“The first encounter that law enforcement made there showed evidence that meth was being made,” Chapman said.

A search warrant was prepared while both residences were secured. The street was closed while law enforcement was there.

Chapman reported narcotics agents wearing special suits with masks retrieved all the components used in making methamphetamine.

BCSO Narcotics Agents, Mountain Narcotics Task Force Agents, Baldwin Police Officers and Baldwin Fire Department personnel were on the scene.

The two men arrested were booked into the Banks County jail.

The Department of Family and Children Services were also contacted because a child that lived in one of the residences came to the scene, Chapman reported.

The investigation is continuing by the BCSO criminal investigation narcotics agents.

This story is in error. There was never a child that came on the scene. I was there and seen what happened. Someone needs to get the facts straight on this one. This child got off the bus up the road at a neighbors house. I feel dfacs was called in retaliation of someone not naming names.
