MAYSVILLE – William Henry Galloway, 47, died Saturday, August 22, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of Mary Ann Carlan Galloway of Homer and the late William Avery Galloway. He was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church, was in the tree service business, and was also Banks County Coroner. Mr. Galloway was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Jesse Chapman.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife, Janet Marie Johnson Galloway, Maysville; sons, Steve Chapman and Robert Chapman, both of Maysville; sisters, Joyce Turpin and Debbie Reems, both of Homer; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, at 2 p.m., at Grove Level Baptist Church with the Revs. Jeff Appling, Swayne Cochran and John Wood officiating. Burial will be in the Banks Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 23, and Monday, August 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
