LULA – Robert James Morris, 84, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Frank and Adell Forrester Morris. He was retired from the D.O.T. and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II. He was of the Baptist denomination. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Ruth Reid Morris; a son, Bobby Morris; brothers, Wilton and Coleman Morris; and sister, Eunice Sheridan.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Steve Wehunt, Gainesville; daughter-in-law and her husband, Doris Morris and Jimmy Anglin, Maysville; grandchildren, Amy Lunsford, Cindy Wehunt, Ashley Morris and Reggie Morris; great-grandchildren, Dylan Mitchell, Tori Lunsford, Ansley Lunsford and Zane Novotny.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 28, at 3 p.m., at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph O. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, July 27, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
