Banks County’s Park and Rec 9-10 year old all-star teams have had a strong season this summer. Both teams made it through to the final tournaments for a chance to win state titles.
Coming up this Friday night in Jefferson, the 9-10 girls team will take on the District seven champs in the first round of the GRPA state tournament. First pitch is at 6 p.m. on the fields behind Jefferson High School.
Win or lose, the girls will play again at 8 p.m. Friday. The championship title will be determined in the final game on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The girls, won the District six title after climbing the bracket, defeating Union County in a 12-0 sweep, Towns County 15-4 and for the crown 11-2.
