By chance, I caught a few minutes of Atlanta-based radio talk show host Herman Cain Friday night. Cain, who is as predictable as the morning sunrise, was blasting Democrats as he took part in a Teaparty. Cain, the one-time Republican candidate for the United States Senate, never met a Democrat he liked and likewise never finds fault with any Republican.

Hopefully Americans will wake up
Unfortunately, therein lies the problem with Cain’s logic.
Is the American politic system broke? You bet. Does it need a major overhaul? Absolutely. Are Democrats partially to blame. You bet they are.
However, Cain is only seeing half the picture. Of course, when you wear rose-colored Republican glasses, what more can you expect?
The Republicans are equally to blame for the current economic mess we are in. You could easily make a case they are more responsible. I don’t care what yackers like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly and the like preach to their blind followers on a daily basis. They have their Kool-Aid drinking base, but if we are ever going to change the way things are done politically in this country then we have to go outside the Democrat-Republican two-party box which has trapped politics as we know it.
The obvious choice is the Libertarian Party which has long advocated tax reform, both at the local and national levels, long before it became the popular cause for talk show hosts to take up. Libertarians have been preaching about tax reform for years, decades even, but who has been listening?
What’s amusing — and a little pathetic when you boil it down —is to hear Republicans across the country try and take the lead for tax reform. How long have they had to institute change? How much longer do they deserve to bring about change?
I say their time has run out. The same goes for Democrats who have never been accused of being the taxpayers’ best friends. Enough is enough. When will voters stop sending the same candidates from the same parties back local, state and national seats?
With an open governor’s race in Georgia next year, voters in the Peachstate have a great chance to send a message about politics as usual. John Monds is campaigning as a Libertarian and would shake up the state and nation if he were sent to Atlanta.
I won’t go into all the details of his platform — you can see that on his website— but rest assured if you are concerned about your tax dollars being wasted, Monds if your candidate. If you are concerned about individual freedom, Monds is without a doubt the best candidate.
Georgians have a chance to let politicians know that citizens in this state are no longer going to take just whatever crumbs are handed to them. It would be the first step in a true voter revolution and one that is so desperately needed in our state and country.
Electing Monds as governor of Georgia would do so much for the hard-working taxpayers who rightfully have been pushed too far. It would send a message louder and stronger than any number of Teaparties would.
Yet, if you continue to vote for candidates belonging to parties who only talk about change, then you will get what you deserve. The choice is yours. It’s time to start doing your homework for the 2010 election. It’s too important not to.

Sadly, the two party system, which has been dragging this country's government into an ever downward spiral, will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER allow a third or (God help us!) fourth party to be more than a barely mentioned "also ran". Ask yourself why would the two parties who are in control of the government EVER voluntarily allow ANY of the pie to be sliced off for someone else? Right now its a "me against you" contest with back and forth tug of wars. Don't worry if "our" party loses big this time, we will get it back...the OTHER guys will screw up and then who will the American people have to turn to then? Well, US of course, there is nobody else! But, if there was a third or fourth or fifth choice...can you imagine the shivers of horror and fear from at "party" headquarters?
And do you know why things will never, ever, ever, EVER change? Because most people are SHEEP who will believe anything "their party leaders" tell them to believe.
And every day things continue to get worse.
Try to tell someone and they will brand you a nut case, avoid you at all cost or smile and quietly tell others "he's a good man, but he's not quite right in the head..."
And downward we go. Baaaa. Baaaaa.
Maybe one day it will all "just get better", all by itself. And maybe one day a very HOT PLACE will freeze over. Maybe I won't hold my breath. Maybe you shouldn't either.
Since you are obviously far beyond our mere mortal intellect, would you care to share with the class just how you think we should fix this problem?
He's had it on for liberals every since he's been writing. Obama's ratings are dipping(dropped seven points this week) as he's failed to live up to his "tax free" promises. You will be wanting a Republican back in office before too long. Just wait until the Democrat-controlled everything subsidizes this nation and spends us to death.
