The Bank County wrestling team hosted a wrestling clinic for middle and high school level grapplers this week at the old high school gym.
Running from Tuesday through Thursday, the camp featured Alex Tucker as the instructor and had approximately 20 pre-registered.
Tucker wrestled for Kennesaw State University, and was the college’s first head coach from 2006-2008 with a winning 79 percentage. Under Tucker’s leadership, the Fighting Owls took the 2007 Collegiate State Dual Championship.
During the three day clinic, the grapplers were shown drills and participated in hands-on skill development. Each day featured two sessions designed to improve abilities of wrestlers and raise the intensity of the grapplers while on the mat.
