To wrap up a successful spring practice, the Banks County Leopards held an in-squad scrimmage game last Friday night.
The scrimmage game provided a preview of what the fans can expect to see when the 2009 season kicks off August 28.
Last season, the Leopards marked their return to the state playoffs after a decade long absence.
While the team will graduate several seniors this Friday night, from the looks of the scrimmage game there are some talented players stepping up to carry on the Big Blue banner.
The scrimmage also was an effort to raise money to purchase a touchdown flag for the team, as well as to gather donations for the players.
Fall practice officially begins August 1 for the Leopards and according the schedule posted on GASports.com Banks will face Washington-Wilkes in the home opener.
