Banks’ Gridiron Leopards are gearing up for another season as the clock starts ticking down to another season of Big Blue football.
This week the Leopards will wrap up their spring practice with a scrimmage game Friday night at 7 p.m.
There is not a fee to get into the game, but one of the following items will be required per family for entrance: DVD-R, snacks or candy (see page 8B in the May 20 edition for more details).
Last season the Leopards marked their return to the state playoffs in over 10 years.
The final 32 finish will be a mark coach Blair Armstrong will build on in the coming season as the team filters in some new talent and rearranges the existing roster.
Last year Banks County finished 6-3 in region play and 6-5 overall.
The Georgia high school football season begins Friday, August 28. Teams may begin fall practice on Aug. 1.
