The arrival of spring means that it is time for festivals. Some planned in Banks County over the next few months include the following:
LULA
The City of Lula will hold its 33rd annual Railroad Days Festival Saturday, May 16, at the historic Railroad Park, Lula. FORT HOLLINGSWORTH
The annual Day at the Fort will be held Saturday, May 23, at the historic pioneer fort – Fort Hollingsworth-White House, located on Wynn Lake Road in the Hollingsworth community of Banks County. The event features tours of the Fort, live entertainment, period reenactments, period craft demonstrations and story-telling of life at the Fort. The event is sponsored and presented by the non-profit organization, Friends of the Fort. ALTO
The Town of Alto will hold a spring fling on June 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The parade will kick off the festivities at 11 a.m. Live entertainment, good, crafts, a tractor contest, an antique car competition and activities for children are among the plans.
