Girl killed in Banks County UTV accident

A 12-year-old Banks County girl was killed Friday afternoon in a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) accident on West Coker Road, Alto. A 15-year-old male passenger on the UTV was injured in the accident.

Breanna Michelle Mann Campbell was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Banks County Sheriff’s Office Major Kyle Bryant said Campbell was driving the UTV in a pasture near the Banks-Hall County line when she lost control and the Polaris UTV flipped over. The male passenger was ejected from the UTV. He suffered some fractures and was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment, Bryant said.

The UTV landed on top of Campbell, Bryant said.

The accident was investigated by the Gainesville post of the Georgia State Patrol.

Campbell was a seventh grade student at South Habersham Middle School. She was the daughter of Darron Wayne Mann, Clarkesville, Leslie Michelle Campbell, Alto, and Charles and Theresa Campbell, Alto.
