Mother nature was a problem for the Diamond Leopards last week.
Unfavorable conditions Wednesday prevented Banks County from hosting North Oconee, while Friday’s game against East Jackson was called due to field conditions.
This week, Banks took on region rival Jefferson Tuesday evening. Results were unavailable at press time.
Today (Wednesday) the Diamond Leopards will get in the North Oconee game from last week before taking on Oglethorpe Thursday. The East Jackson game will be made up April 14.
The Leopards play North Oconee again next Monday, April 13 at 5 p.m. and will honor the baseball seniors before the game.
Coming up is Oglethorpe, which is 1-12 overall and 0-6 in region play. Banks defeated the Patriots in March, 10-4, and will look to perfect the performance Thursday. Game time is at 5:30 p.m.
